Special Font For Special Needs
As a designer who worked closely with several children with special needs for a year and received training from a certified BI who holds an MFA in child psychology, I have always contemplated how I can use my design skills to benefit children. My solution was to create a font that resembles a shape-matching game, which is both enjoyable and attention-grabbing, while still being easily legible for traditional readers. For individuals who struggle with reading letters, the font consists of three unique shapes: circles, squares, and triangles, making letter combinations or individual letters more memorable. This font can assist children in recognizing their name at school, distinguishing their name from others, or even as a way to begin learning the alphabet. Additionally, this font is color-blindness friendly and does not rely on colors for memorization.
Both otf. and ttf. file of the font, with simple right click and install, you will be able to type it on your computer.
